How Do Nature-Based Solutions Help Protect Water Bodies in the Face of Climate Change? – Answers in Theory and Practice
Registration is open for the upcoming seminar on July 23–24 “Nature-based solutions for the protection of the sea and water bodies: theory and practice”! (registration open until July 19).
📅 On July 23, experts will discuss online the link between climate change and water quality and rising water levels, the role of nature-based solutions in protecting coastlines and water bodies, coastal erosion processes, and ways to mitigate their impact. The seminar will also feature practical examples demonstrating how nature-based solutions help strengthen climate resilience and improve the quality of the aquatic environment.
📍 On July 24 in Kurzeme, participants will have the opportunity to visit several implemented solutions and projects in the Liepāja area, including the Liepāja Lake area, the Ālande River walking trail in Grobiņa, and other locations where natural processes are utilized as part of sustainable regional development.

Participation in the seminars is free of charge, but space for the site visits is limited, so we encourage you to register early.
