Informative event for Riga municipality (Latvia) local stakeholders

Planning the development of green infrastructure in Riga, on November 27 at 14 In the “Koka Rīga” house, Kŗāsotāju Street 12, a seminar organized by the City Development Department will be held to discuss with residents about solutions for the development of green infrastructure and mitigating the impact of climate change.

The seminar is organized within the framework of the European Union project “LIFE LATESTadapt”, during the implementation of which green walls, a green roof, a rain garden and other green infrastructure solutions will be installed and tested in the vicinity of Tērbatas Street in Riga in the next two years.

The seminar will provide an overview of the projects implemented in Riga so far and the implemented solutions, as well as an insight into how the municipality plans to “green” the area around Tērbatas Street and Riga as a whole. The representatives of the municipality will demonstrate the results of the survey on the areas of the green environment, which are particularly important in the opinion of the residents.
